The Northern leg of the Sony Ericsson Regional Conflict, the National b-boy eliminations, happened on the 19^th april at Leeds Uni. A great crowd turned out to see 10 crews from the north of England & Scotland battle it out to qualify for the National Finals.

The appearance of a number of new crews was proof enough of the emerging talent across the country. Hosted by the Fresh Jive crew,the event built on last years success to provide a real spectecale of b-boy flavour and that unique thing in hip-hop a great vibe without any animosity . Breakin’ has it’s posturing but you have to be able to back it up with real skills and all of the crews on show had good routines and worked out battle tactics. The music was supplied by DJ Rob Life who kept the b-boys & b-girls as well as the crowd moving all day! The final, between Ghetlow Pirates(Leeds) and Psycho Styles(Edinburgh) didn’t disappoint with a non-stop display of powermoves, routines and stylish dancing. Ghetlow took the win much to the enjoyment of the home crowd but Psycho Syles also booked their place in the Finals along with the 2 best runners up Hard Knox Crew(Liverpool) and Trinity Warriors(Derby)
