This funky stop and start dance called Locking was created back in the late 60s by Don Campbell and pioneered by the dance group ‘The Lockers’. A small but highest calibre line up, Locking is probably the least well known of the streetdances so expect to be surprised by some incredible dancing, some incredible routines as well as some incredible outfits! |

|  Loic & Manu Loic & Manu have been dancing together since 2003. Their style is a combination of technique and feeling. Both aged 25, they have won many collective and individual competitions, most notably Juste Debout, in both 2004 and 2007, where they triumphed over last years winners - The GoGo Brothers! Coming to the UK Championships for the first time, this battle hungry French pair will be looking to add another major title to their impressive resume. |

|  Yuma & Miho Yuma & Miho are an amazing male/female locking combination and this year’s Japanese qualifiers, having beaten the formidable Hilty & Bosch (2005 winners) in the final of the Japan elimination. This little known pair will clearly be a major force in locking and will be aiming to make a name for themselves in this year’s Championships. |

The pair both originate from Philly, however, Marcus is now based in & represents the UK. Their acrobatic and high energy style will make them favourites with the crowd and their funky and original locking flava should also impress the judges. |

|  Lockaholics Anonymous Lockaholics Anonymous – Scramblelock (Canada) & Lockadelic (France) are winners of the Freestyle Session USA qualification. This new male/female partnership is a force to be reckoned with, featuring two of the World's most renowned lockers. Scramblelock was last year’s winner of the locking contest at Bboy Summit and Lockadelic is one of France’s best, who recently moved to Los Angeles to further her dance career. Sure to be a hit at this year’s event! |

|  Funky Asparagus & A-Train Funky Asparagus has been locking since -99, and has won several competitions in Scandinavia. Asparagus also works as a choreographer and dancer for tv, theaters, artists and big events. He also teaches locking and the history of soul dances & locking subculture at one of Swedens biggest dance schools. He got picked as one of the dancers for redbull beatriders this year. He´s a member of Funkademics. A - train has won several competitions in Scandinavia and was a finalist at Juste debout 2006, and won the scandinavian juste debout pre-selections 2007. He works as a locking teacher for kids and has been performing in tv, theatershow and big events. He´s a member of the famous crew Funky 4 brothers. |
